Access to MEDLINE and Other Databases

Health professionals and consumers use MEDLINE and other databases to search the biomedical literature. The major services that provide free or fee-based access are listed below along with selected user guides. Health professionals affiliated with schools or hospitals should inquire about access through the library at their institution which often includes training and support services. The National Network of Libraries of Medicine is dedicated to making the world's biomedical information available to all U.S. health professionals. If you are a health professional or consumer without access to a medical library, contact the regional office in your area at 1-800-338-7657.
